Stories from the creative industries
Jane Biggs - 18 - London
Studying dance at the London Studio Centre
I was always interested in dance, I started ballet classes at 7 and immediately fell in love with it. I always dreamt of becoming a dancer but only ever pursued it as a hobby. Through CreateAction I found the London Studio Centre, a place specialising in dance courses. I am now studying my favourite hobby full time and hope to turn it into a career in the future.

Mark Cohen - 21 - Essex
Paid intern at the Photgraphers' Gallery
I studied economics at university but always took pictures in my spare time. After seeing an advert for CreateAction I got in touch. The CreateAction team helped me find a photography course which worked flexibly round my university hours. The course gave me the confidence to apply for an iternship at the Photographers' Gallery in London. Seeing all the work up in the gallery has given me a goal of having one of my photos up there one day.

Rebecca Learner - 23 - Manchester
Junior Architect
My favourite subjects were always maths and art, I found out that these skills could come in hand for architecture. One of the CreateAction team found me a vocational architectural course at The Manchester College. From there I did an apprenticeship, that apprenticeship became a career.
